Jake De Marco

Hi, I’m Jake DeMarco — a finance professional turned strategic freelancer with a passion for solving complex problems, optimizing businesses, and building things that work. With several years of experience in commercial banking and asset-based lending, I’ve underwritten, managed, and advised on multimillion-dollar portfolios for companies across the country. I began my career in a competitive credit analyst rotational program, where I worked in various departments, learning to quickly adapt to new teams, industries, and responsibilities. After completing the program, I joined a new national lending division within the bank, playing a key role in building out operational procedures, credit processes, and client strategies from the ground up.

What drives me isn’t just the numbers — it’s the stories behind them. I’m analytical, but also entrepreneurial. Over the years, I’ve taken my financial skill set and applied it across different ventures: from helping early-stage business owners make sense of their cash flow, to developing product strategies, pricing models, and marketing assets for startups and side hustles. I enjoy work that blends structure with creativity and data with storytelling.

Now looking for freelance roles, I offer a range of services including financial modeling, pitch deck development, investor packages, business plan creation, credit analysis, spreadsheet builds, and general business consulting. But I’m also open to taking on projects outside of finance — whether it’s operations planning, content creation, branding help, or idea validation. Outside of work, I’m passionate about cooking, sports, and travel — and I bring the same focus and curiosity to freelancing that I bring to every dish or trip I plan.
