Ifedapo Sanwo

I am Sanwo Ifedapo, the former Procurement Manager of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM). During the course of my experience here, I successfully achieved zero Mobilization on contracts, efficient contractors’ registration and management / satisfaction of all contractors, effective acquisition of assets through competitive bidding, efficient and transparent acquisition of quotations, streamline expenditure to budget, bank verification of loans for CIPM suppliers on a CIPM purchase order (PO). He is basically involved in setting up an efficient and strategic supply chain, with a centralized procurement of all assets for the institute by working closely with the directorates and departments to support the growth of the institute and managing all designated group of products and suppliers to ensure a secure and sustainable supply chain is developed and maximum value is achieved for the institute.

 Prior to that I was a procurement specialist at Gadgas Ltd, a major oil and gas service company who is registered and renders supplies for Shell, Chevron, Exxon Mobil & Addax Petroleum. Here I sourced for/ received request for quotation of direct charge materials / services from service companies , reviewed the purchase requisitions and sought clarification from customers if required, identified suitable vendors, sought for prices, freight cost, discounts and payment policies, forwarded quotes according to appropriate procedures commensurate with financial level, tracked the progress of the PO and expedited as necessary, treated unanticipated problems and variations as they occurred, and trained other procurement officers in modern procurement practices.
