Heather Bourque

My name is Heather Bourque and I am seeking a part-time remote opportunity.

I worked as a Business Analyst at a local health insurance company for the past 4 years. I was responsible for UAT testing (User Acceptance Testing). I reviewed provider contracts and tested our processing software to ensure correct reimbursement for our providers. In order to be successful in this position, I had to be extremely detail oriented. If I missed something, the provider would get incorrectly reimbursed which would result in fines for the company. I am a very detail-oriented person, therefore, I was able to learn and grow in this position quickly. My manager noticed my work, and I was given more responsibility within the team. I took the lead on large testing projects for different departments. I had an amazing manager who gave me autonomy over my work. She would give me the task, and I would execute.

I am a self-starter. I am very motivated and do not need to be pushed. I believe, if you are not going to give 100% then why do it at all.

I love to make lists. I maintain order in my life through lists. Crossing a task off a to-do list is one of my favorite things to do! (My husband thinks I'm weird for that!) I am extremely diligent about checking and clearing my inbox. I can't stand a messy inbox. Once I get an e-mail, I always respond in a timely manner then file it away.

In 2016, I began my journey to learn about e-commerce and digital marketing. Since then, I have completed two comprehensive e-commerce courses and opened my own e-commerce store. Here are a few things I have learned in the past few years; Photoshop, store design for optimization, Facebook Ads, effective copywriting methods, SEO strategies, and social media management. I love to learn and will always strive for professional growth.
