In my fairly long SEO career, I have helped many websites reach the number one position in Google, Yahoo, and Bing (previously MSN). To know about the websites I have worked on, you can see in my Experience area. It is not possible to mention all projects here because of some limitations but I'll be updating the possible ones.
To help my clients get better Google ranking, I have made a fair use of on-page and off page optimization tools. Contrary to a popular belief, I rely a lot on on-page optimization tools, techniques, and principles, to get better ranking for the websites I work on. As a rule of thumb, I never leave on-page optimization on software, for no tool can be better than human eyes in finding the high and low points in a web page. I, therefore, always rely on manual scanning, evaluation, and optimization of all on-page elements.
If off-page tools and techniques are akin to invitations sent out by a website, on-page optimization tools and techniques help you set your home right in order to give a cordial and warm welcome to your visitors, without which visitors will be fairly disappointed. And they will leave to never return.
From working on various Meta tags to analyzing XHTML and CSS layout for proper optimization, I do all. I make sure that the code of your website is not only W3C validated, but is also properly optimized for search engines.
