I am able to animate body mechanics, acting (including facial animation), creatures,
and vehicles, as demonstrated in my previous projects (into Maya, as required in the position,
but Blender as well). I am also able to work with add-ons that make me work faster to improve
the pipeline speed. I have already worked in the industry as a cinematic animator/artist for two
different games at the moment (so I am already familiar with the import/export cinematic/game
pipeline with two different game engines : Unity and Unreal). My main responsibilities included
storyboarding, timing, animation (including FX), and coordinating with other departments. All of
this to implement a strong and efficient cinematic feeling of the storyline that is given.
I work closely with team members in various disciplines (FX, game dev, etc.) to create a cohesive
player experience, regularly seeking feedback to refine/iterate my animations with my team,
game dev, animators, but also sometimes with producers for narrative matters. I am also used to
attending team meetings to discuss issues and work on solutions together, bringing new ideas to
the table. I am capable of switching between French and English, and I am particularly accustomed
to working with Dutch-speaking colleagues in Belgium.
I always enjoy bringing something from my cinematic approach and various references into my
animations. Not to make them more realistic, but believable. And I always animate with purpose,
thinking about what feeling I need to convey.
I’m looking for a company where I can play a meaningful role, in an environment where I can
openly discuss ideas/problems and collaborate with other colleagues to take our work to the next
level as a team. But also learn among a team to reach my goals as a professional animator. And
most importantly : have fun doing it.
