I am a graduate of BS Computer Science with 18 years of diversified experience.
Before I proceed, let me tell you a brief story of my career journey. Way back 2007, I landed a job abroad. I lived and worked in Dubai, U.A.E. for 9 years. I worked in 3 different multinational companies as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Secretary and Human Resource Assistant consecutively.
Being said that, I have gained all my work and life experience abroad. That 18 years of diversified experience have honed in different industries both local and abroad.
So, moving forward in 2016, I came back to the Philippines to start a new life with my own family. I landed a job in a hotel that I've worked with before going abroad. I was the HR Manager/IT Head for 2 years.
HOW DID I ENDED UP BEING A FREELANCE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?
As we are all experiencing the Covid19 pandemic. This situation leads me to seek out other sources of income. I came up browsing Facebook pages until I landed the Government Page which is the Department of Information and Communication Technology. They are offering free webinars almost of your choice for free. So, I grabbed the opportunity and here I am.
Currently, I am a trainee of a Government program of DICT (Department of Information and Communication Technology) in Freelancing and Virtual Assistant and acquired certificates of other webinars they offered like Basic Videography, and Freelancing 101.
As the training goes, I have learned that Social Media involvement is actually a useful tool in promoting my services. I get to know more the ideas of using them the right way. I get to learn different skill sets for each job for a Freelance Virtual Assistant such as Email Handling, Customer Relationship Management, Data Entry, Web Searching, Social Media Management, Transcribing both Audio/Video and Calendar Management. It has always been a successful and productive training.
