I started working in the call center industry in 2009 as a technical support representative. I was trained in simple troubleshooting processes and customer service. I had to take a break from work for two years, then in 2012 I went back to further hone my customer service skills and rejoined the previous call center that I had worked for previously. From there, I explored other work opportunities and was able to become an online chat operator for car companies in the US. There I was trained on how to assist customers look for the car that they want with their specifications and budget. After being an online chat operator for a year, I resigned and tried my luck with transcription. It didn't work out for me for the first time I tried since I had no experience, so I went back to being a customer service representative again. This time, we were handling a B2B account, so I was able to polish my customer service skills even more and became more professional in dealing with customers. Lastly, I am currently a freelance transcriber/editor. I now have four years of experience and still learning. I am project based at the moment, so I am looking for a more permanent job position, if possible.
