Erick Banegas

I started as an assistant to an architect, shadowing and keeping his email and scheduling his calendar. I then moved on to modeling his designs in 3D and rendering while studying architecture. Then I was responsible for correcting and submitting plans and supervising construction.

I've been a junior architect in a respectable, award-winning firm for 6 years, designing, redlining, and supervising construction. My main clients have been private schools and commercial developers. I've also designed, constructed, or remodeled a few high-end homes.

During my time in this firm, I was tasked with providing designing, remodeling, and maintenance services for three of the most prestigious K-12 schools in the state of Francisco Morazan, Honduras. I went on to direct all visualizations, renderings and digital walkthroughs for clients and foremen.

After I received my certification in BIM management, I modeled in 3D every edifice and their respective utilities of those aforementioned schools to keep and make quick estimates for maintenance or construction up to date. My experience in scan-to-BIM has only been in an educational capacity, I do hope to keep learning.

My most rewarding accomplishment in this firm was winning the national award for architecture and urbanization in Honduras in 2021 and qualifying for the Oscar Niemeyer Awards in 2022.

From early 2022 till mid-2023, I worked as a virtual assistant for an American company in California setting appointments for estimators, designers, and construction crews with homeowners who wanted to remodel or keep maintenance of their landscape.

Since April 2024 I’ve been working at a property management company based in Virginia, automizing and streamlining a maintenance service under a different company where we schedule painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC services for properties in Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, and Maryland.
