Emmanuel Sahuru Abubakar

Hi, I’m Emmanuel — an organized, people-focused professional with over five years of experience in administrative support and customer service across both nonprofit and corporate settings. I’ve always enjoyed being the person behind the scenes who keeps things running smoothly, whether that means solving problems for customers, coordinating team schedules, or making sure records are exactly where they need to be.

Right now, I work at Teleperformance in Toronto, supporting both sales and admin functions. My role involves everything from scheduling and handling inquiries to maintaining accurate CRM records and preparing internal reports. It’s fast-paced, but I enjoy the challenge of juggling multiple tasks while still delivering great service. I also take pride in the little improvements I’ve made—like streamlining our digital filing system, which saved a lot of time for the whole team.

Before this, I worked remotely as an Executive Assistant with NorthStar Life Services, where I supported senior leadership with scheduling, correspondence, and sensitive documentation like payroll and contracts. I learned how valuable clear communication and confidentiality are, especially when supporting people at that level.

Earlier in my career, I worked as an Administrative Officer with Illmi Children’s Fund, a nonprofit in Nigeria focused on helping underserved communities access education. That role shaped a lot of my professional values, like integrity, attention to detail, and a real respect for the people you’re supporting. I managed over 1,000 beneficiary records, helped organize community events, and supported donor and grant documentation.

I recently completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Global Business Management at Centennial College and hold a Bachelor’s in International Relations. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering—most recently with Second Harvest, where I supported fundraising events and donor outreach.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my career, it’s that strong operations and thoughtful communication are at the heart of any great organization. I’m always looking for opportunities to contribute those strengths to a team that values people, process, and purpose.
