Creating feature updates on-demand for use in production/on-site. (PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and BitBucket). Android Engineer — Hamwe, ​(Remote) Kampala-Uganda, 7/20 - present Working remotely on an Android app for ​Hamwe​. Handled features for profiling Farmers, field agents and suppliers; recording bio data, farm GPS coordinates, farm produce and any new requirements. The data is collected offline then synchronized with an online server once the user/agent has an internet connection. Product is continually under development and user testing. (Java, XML, Gradle, Retrofit2, Room Persistence Library, GitHub, GitHub Projects, Notion, Slack, Zoom and Google Hangouts). Android Engineer — Bleacher Report, ​(Remote) San Francisco, California - USA, 7/19 - 11/19 Improved user acquisition and retention on the ​Bleacher Report Android app​ through work on social features, account creation and profile completion features. It has over 5 million monthly users. Worked remotely, doing daily stand-up posts to update the team on my work (SCRUM) as well as video calls on Mondays, Wednesdays to hangout with the team and Fridays for weekly retrospectives. Also recommended and helped migrate Streamline to PHP/Laravel after researching and testing out possible platforms (Spring, Flask, Yii and Laravel) it could be migrated to.
