I have a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a Diploma of Human Resources Management, both from BCIT. BCIT has the most challenging Human Resources program on the market. I graduated with honours from both programs. They provided me with a sound understanding of human resources policies and procedures, Labour Relations and the Employment Standard Act.

My most recent positions, both at BCIT and at JIBC, have been centred around data. I understand how important it is to maintain accuracy and integrity of data. The type of data I was utilizing was very sensitive in nature and had to be kept fully confidential. I analyzed data and created reports for every department of JIBC and for Purchasing and Logistics at BCIT. I also oversaw the creation of a digital repository for Purchasing to organize and categorize purchase orders.

I am an expert at the Office suite. My last positions have seen me utilizing Excel for all sorts of data analysis, utilizing analyzing tools such as pivot tables and graphs to better communicate information to the end user. I paired this with Word documents for reporting out on programs and even PowerPoint presentations to communicate my findings. I utilized Outlook and its calendar to manage all of my projects. I I have used Visio to create flow charts while working on process improvement projects and Adobe Acrobat Pro to create, edit and modify .pdf documents. I used SharePoint in both BCIT and JIBC for work collaboration and organization. I also learned SQL programming and Power BI to mine data and create reports. More recently, I have used Teams for online conferences.

For over seven years, I managed retail teams, handling all baseline HR functions such as payroll, benefits, scheduling, orientation, recruitment and training and development. I successfully hired and trained multiple employees up to the level of store manager throughout my career. During these years, I was exposed to HRIS systems such as Taleo. I also organized several employee events at the store for my employees.

Lastly, at JIBC, I built a team, tested and launched a new survey platform. I created training documents, trained all end users and administrated the system. I was also responsible to consult and create surveys for multiple departments.
