Dean Stowell Purpose As of this moment, my objective is to find steady work and to use my skills, good attitude, and hard work ethic to contribute to what I’m hoping to be the next phase of my working career. After 16+ years of working as a software and hardware tester I felt I needed a new challenge and in that spirit, I’m eager to try something new and essentially, get a new career start. Work Experience Curve Dental (July 2022 - April 2024) Role: Software Developer In Test -​ -​ -​ -​ Created and maintained test plans for multiple projects Help improve test automation infrastructure Wrote automation for a number of projects Started Automation for new project which required learning new technologies and training for the rest of the automation testers TC Energy (August 2021 - May 2022) Role: Quality Assurance Analyst (Contractor role) -​ -​ -​ Performed manual testing for pipeline project Wrote bug and defect reports for all issues found Strong performance reviews, leading to multiple contract extensions ConnectFirst Credit Union (January 2019 - April 2021) Role: Quality Assurance Analyst (Contractor Role) -​ -​ -​ -​ Performed manual testing for a number of projects across a myriad of platforms including Windows, iOS, and Android and helping complete all Apple Pay, Google Pay testing Performed test lead duties on new database system which required writing and maintaining test cases, creating automation framework, creating and maintaining automation testing and reporting, and required manual and automated API testing for all types of requests Learned multiple new technologies including Ranorex, C#, SOAP, PostMan, and azure devops services Initial contract was 3 months but continual strong performances extended it beyond 2 years SMART Technologies (June 2011 - January 2019) Role: Test Developer -​ -​ -​ -​ -​ Performed manual and automated testing for a myriad of different pieces of software and hardware including digital whiteboards, document cameras, and applications on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS Created automation infrastructure for Android which was used to uncover many bugs.
