I am Daniel from Colombia, a passionated professional about everything related to brands a products development, international business processes like suppliers and new markets research, negotiation focused on attending company strategic requirements and achieving significant savings, procurement and strategic sourcing and international commerce opperations among others. My experience in those mentioned fields is formed by 10 years of active participation in companies from different industries like appliances and electronics, retail, RTA Furniture and consultancy which means I have succeed in different environments and have flexibly adapted to them implementing continuos improvement practices and reaching the stablished goals.
In my first experience as a product Manager in a recognized Colombian appliances brand called Kalley, I developed over 60 products for the 3 categories I was in charge of (white goods, IT and electronic gadgets and devices), leading the whole product strategy not only from a sourcing perspective but also actively participating in the marketing, commercial, pricing and profit strategy, having direct contact with customers throughout the country and following our competitors always looking to improve and take the brand to another level. Then I moved to the retail industrial working with the most popular retail company in the region of Antioquia and led the strategy for white goods and small appliances product lines directly negotiating with big brands like Samsung, LG, Mabe, Black + Decker, Haceb, Imusa, etc. to get the best conditions possible to sell their products in the stores and ecommerce keeping expected profit, reaching the defined sales and attending all the commercial calendar with 2 or 3 eventos per month.
Finally I joined an RTA Furniture company with local production and led the expansion to new imported product categories developing new suppliers from China, India, Malasya and some other countries and creating new product lines like office chairs, gamming chairs, dinning sets, RTA imported ítems, etc (around 30 ítems) and after a short stay I moved to a totally new experience in a consulting company specialized on developing shared service centers in different LATAM countries and important customers like Coppel, HAME, Yanbal, ISA, etc.
