I feel that even though it's been hard, I am learning
that you can't go full throttle all the time every week
and every day. Life has ebbs and flows and goals
need to be adjusted to fit in with that. In the past I
would go through a tough time and just say well sod
it I'm not doing xyz any more so I'm rubbish. Now I
know that dialling down isn't failure, its actually part
of being successful because its adapting your goals
to fit your needs in that moment which then
encourages you to push forward once you have more
energy/capacity/time.

There were lots of times my watch buzzed at the end
of the day as I'd done my 10k steps and I thought "oh
wow, didn't even have to think about that" and other
times where I'd pick up a yoghurt or fruit as a snack
because I knew it would make me feel good and I
genuinely wanted it rather than a chocolate bar or
crisps - massive!! Equally there were times where I
chose not to go to the gym, or I may have had a bag
of Cadburys Dark Milk Buttons and I was completely
ok with that decision, because I knew I wasn't
pressing the "f*** it button", I knew that those
decisions were what I needed at that time.

biscuits, or ice cream, or whatever it is
