PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENTS Travelling the world alone | 2008 ABOUT CERYN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME TO HELP YOU GET TO KNOW THE PERSON YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH... I visited eight countries over four months, including time working in a community school in Swaziland and a trek of the Inca Trail for the Alzheimer's Society I developed my confidence, organisation skills and money management (it was tough!), but mostly got to know myself much better Becoming a published author | 2016 Having written my first book aged 7, being a published author was always my dream and I first achieved this aged 33 with the Teen Spirit Guide to Working With Mediumship I am currently working on publication of my second book, The Divine Feminist, with a third already in the pipeline! Three half marathons | 2009 - Present When it comes to exercise I am not a keen runner; yoga, swimming and boxing are more my thing! But I have so far completed three half marathons for charity; the third while pushing my dad in a wheelchair to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care PERSONAL SKILLS Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing Strong listener, built upon as a trained counsellor Builds rapport well Effective at meeting deadlines having spent over a decade in the corporate world Great time management having juggled multiple jobs since University! The She Power community | 2017 - Present In 2017 I was asked by author Lisa Lister, to support her in running the 'She Power Coven', a five-month course for over 100 women across the world The group became so close that they continue to talk daily, even six months after the course's completion, supporting one another throughout I played a big role in creating this community, and took a lead in organising a trip for more than 30 of the women to come together physically in early 2018 OTHER INTERESTS THE MEDIA I am a big movie fan who loves to read and enjoys watching the latest TV shows My all-time favourites include Empire Records, Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer SPORT I enjoy watching sports, especially rugby, and am a season ticket holder at my local Premiership rugby club (and former employer!) BAKING I love to bake and was twice crowned bake-off winner at a previous job; I bake a mean brownie The downside of employing me remotely is that I won't be in the office to share... couriered treats anyone?! PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT I love to learn... including about myself, and having retrained as a counsellor and coach now thoroughly enjoy sharing those learnings with clients too I also learning new things; for example I'm currently teaching myself how to record and produce podcasts and recently re-wired my first light fitting!
