Burcu Yalçınkaya İlhan

I am a graduate of translation and interpreting department and have been working as a book translator for more than ten years. I have translated nearly twenty books of which subjects vary from politics and philosophy to literature and academic researches. Apart from the books I have translated several different materials like insurance agreements, user manuals, economy journals and biographies etc. as a freelancer to translation agencies.

For the last three years I have focused more on teaching English and I have been working in state schools. However, I regard myself more of a translator and a researcher. Thanks to translation I have several interest areas in my life and I want to expand it. Having different experiences in terms of text writing is important for me to develop myself.
