Brian Koome Kinoti

I graduated from the University of Nairobi in December 2020, with a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate. I am a highly resourceful and focused data analyst, investment analyst, project manager and social media manager with exceptional capabilities in Investment Analysis, Business development, Property valuation, Project Development, Project Management and Project Appraisal.

For 5 years (July 2017 – September 2022), I had the privilege to serve as the Head of Technical & Operations for a real estate development company called Midston Prime Services Ltd. My major achievements in this role include:

•   Cumulatively, I have undertaken property valuations worth over $ 12.8 Million for different commercial lenders, Mortgagors & Mortgagees.

•   With my team, I spearheaded investment analysis and eventual development of 3 fully developed mixed use projects in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties worth approximately $6.4 Million.

•   I had the overall project management lead role for the development of $3.2Mn Loyal Small Scale Industries Tannery in Luwero Uganda and $812K Ministry of Agriculture (GoK) farmers market sheds construction in Timau and Isiolo.

•   I have played several External Consultant roles including for FCK Partners LLP. in the revitalization of Mounted Textile Mill, lending my skills and knowledge on matters land & landed property development regulations and compliance.

•   My junior team has benefited from my skills and experience immensely in terms of skills development and career mentorship including training of 5 interns, 2 of which got absorbed and others flourishing elsewhere career wise.

•   I have participated actively and qualitatively contributed to several land policy, property valuation and project management workshops organized by University Of Nairobi, Kenyan Government & Private actors.

Between October 2022 - October 2024, after leaving my previous employment, I got into private consultancy on business development for SMEs and Start-up Businesses in Kenya, mainly around Nairobi area. Notably, I undertook the investment appraisal and preparation of a bankable business plan for Hogs Paradise Restaurant located in Thindigua, Kiambu Rd. in 2023, enabling the business to grow their valuation from $10000 to $35000 within one and a half years.

In 2024, I also undertook the investment appraisal and preparation of a bankable business plan for Marnduk Enterprises Ltd. - a private company located on Mombasa Rd. whose main business is the supply of packaging material to farmers and distributors of farm produce.

Being a trained project manager and real estate developer, I took over the management and supervision of the finishing stages of a 3-bedroom all en-suite retirement house with an estimated value of $50000, in Nthimbiri, Meru.

On the side, I have taken up several part-time and contractual jobs to supplement my main income. I have undertaken website development, social media management and content writing for a blog, briankoome.wordpress.com, ensuring its steady growth from the ground to it's current reach of 200-250 readers weekly. I am well-versed in search engine optimization techniques and social media management as marketing tools for businesses.

I have also done several part-time data entry, and data analysis jobs to supplement my income.

My skill-set is versatile and easily adaptable to any work environment, requiring minimal training to get up to speed. I possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail, accurate and timely reporting, fluent in written and spoken English and Kiswahili with basic French knowledge, written and spoken. Finally, I am a team player with ability to inspire. I work easily in a team or alone and require little training in whichever field of work I find myself in. I am diverse in my interests both at work and in my personal life.
