Ariel Mercader Casido

Ariel has been managing and setting up Infrastructure Systems in ICT mostly for Shipping

Management Industry for around 15 years with various experience in Server Virtualization, Private Datacenter,

SD-WAN Networks and Office 365 Environment.

He has been handling ICT Infrastructure as an IT Executive, focusing on maintaining, supporting, and

improving Office Systems as well as Vessel ICT environment. Wherein he managed to gain experience in

converting Physical Servers to Virtualized Servers with backend under VMWare and Citrix Environment. This

also involves migrating on-premises Exchange 2010 Server to Office 365 Environment including Public Folders.

His years in in the Shipping Management industry also gain him experience in upgrading Systems of

various versions of Citrix and VMware Environments, with this he gained experience as well in handling

enterprise storages such as HP Nimble Storage. During this this time he also done migration to a Private

Datacenter where he only managed the Virtual Infrastructure backbone using VMWare and the service provider

maintains the hardware’s. With this migration to a Private Datacenter, he added a DRaSS design for the

environment in case of disaster whole environment can be turned on for continued operations within the day

using Zerto as its backend Infrastructure for Disaster Recovery. He then added the SD-WAN Network upon the

migration to the Private Datacenter with CATO Engineers to be implemented on his three office around Asia

where main office is in Singapore and the other two offices are in Manila, Phils., and Chennai, India for lower

latency access and redundancy connections by just using DIA connections from all Offices instead of MPLS.

With above experiences he was promoted to be IT Manager and managed the Office System

Infrastructure as well as the Vessel ICT Infrastructure on board Vessels managed by the Company. Managing

and guiding 4 support guys who handles Desktop Support and Vessel Support for Office and Vessels

accordingly.
