During this period, I have worked as Safety Officer with the largest Drilling Contractor in Saudi
Arabia both in Oil and Gas drilling and Gas Exploration projects. After one year, was promoted as
Safety Trainer/ Instructor to conduct training programs such as H2S, BASIC FIRE FIGHTING, FIRST
AID /CPR, STOP PROGRAMS, JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS, PERMIT TO WORK, HAZARD
COMMUNICATION, and other relevant safety training programs.
Relevant Projects Include:
ONSHORE & OFFSHORE OIL/GAS DRILLING RIGS
• Spearheaded the set-up of 6 new land rigs in Saudi Arabia in relation to safety deliverables.
Have represented the company to assist in set-up and layout of rig safety requirements of
the new automated Land Rig that served as showcase to prominent clientele in UAE.
• Ensure that Breathing Apparatus are fully operational and in good working condition.
• Monitor and implement Job Safety analysis (JSA), Tool Box Meetings, Work Permits (Hot,
Cold & Confined Space Entry Permit to Work), Lock Out/ Tag Out procedures, Fall Protection,
Rigging/ Slinging, and Road Safety.
• Implement guidelines on emergency drill procedures such as H2S, Fire, & BOP drills and
simulated disaster drills. Conduct safety equipment inspections such as SCBA, SABA, smoke
detectors, fire extinguishers, and heavy equipments.
• Actively follow-up on QHSE related subjects and participate in Quality and HSE audits and
investigations of major failures and accidents/incidents and recommend changes to the HSE
program.
• Prepare reports on accident, near miss incidents using TapRoot® Incident Investigation &
Root Cause Analysis method. Discuss Accident Investigation results and recommendations
