Anthony Shang

I am a semi-retiree and so I am keen to apply my skills and knowledge in a part-time, remote or hybrid job. As an author, I have had 3 books published and I was also a former journalist and freelance sub-editor and I have had numerous feature stories published in international newspapers, magazines and syndicated via features services. My area of interest has mainly been in social and economic development and current affairs (having spent time at the Institute of Development Studies at Sussex University). In my former employment at a language localization agency, I also have had translation and proof-reading experience. My writing and communication skills can also be considered first rate. In addition, having pursued academic research and worked as an Investigations Officer in the UK civil service, I consider my research skills to be sufficiently in-depth.

As a former TV producer and director, I have over 18 years of senior management experience in business development, strategy formulation and execution, marketing, production management, audio dubbing and language localisation. The industry sectors that I have worked in include digital media, direct response marketing, brand creation and brand strategy, content localization, broadcast television, event marketing, journalism, as well as my first job in a UK government statutory body.
