Throughout my career in digital marketing thus far, I have acquired a variety of skills across a diverse range of marketing disciplines and industries.
My first marketing job with a water gardening company involved content marketing, social media branding and ad campaigns, copywriting, blogging, and e-commerce website inventory and product page management. Programs and skills I learned from this job included OpenCart, MySQL, HTML, Google Analytics, and Google Adwords.
A later role for a nutraceutical business furthered my experience with Facebook ads and introduced me to direct response marketing, as well as building & managing an Amazon storefront with paid click ad campaigns. Programs I learned from this role included ActiveCampaign, Interspire, Wufoo, NetCentrix, and Facebook Business Manager.
At Shoes For Crews, I gained experience in a multitude of areas, including extensive website and email A/B testing, e-mail marketing design consultation and promotion strategy, analytics reporting, quality assurance, affiliate marketing and more. Experience was gained by using applications such as Tableau, Bronto, Yesmail, Conductor for SEO, Moz, and Pepperjam. This was an e-commerce role, so maintenance of the website and management of product inventories and categories was a regular part of my tasks. Analysis of sales and top products would be considered so that we could make informed decisions with regards to the designs on our email campaigns, as well as with creating web promotions via keycodes that would stir up demand for our products at certain times.
In my current role as a digital marketing analyst for an education boot camp company, I build automated reports, monitor and coordinate with admissions advisors on program enroll performance, report on landing page A/B tests, and much more. To analyze and report on lead generation, I utilize Salesforce for pulling together the data, and then google sheets and tableau for organizing and presenting the data so that key performance indicators can be reported on for the business. Moreover, my duties as an analyst entail highlighting areas of improvement with our pay-per-click campaigns on Google Ads, coordinating with our SEM team to communicate these recommendations, and keeping track of daily, weekly, and monthly performance on conversions, cost per conversion, bounce rate, CPM, and so much more. Another area I focus on is market research; by examining the search demand and job demand for certain programs we offer in particular markets, we are able to relay important findings to our admissions team so that new classes and programs can be considered for launching.
