About

My work experience consists of over 25 years of construction in the oil industry. I worked 17 years with PDVSA, South America, in the Major Projects Division as project control supervisor. At this assignment, I was involved in the tender preparation, budget fund request, contract administration, cost and progress control of individual and portfolios, quantity surveying, billing approval, management of changes and project audits.

After PDVSA's assignments, in January/2003 I had to get out of Venezuela, due to political turmoil, and came back the USA where a got hired by Chicago Bridge & Iron (CBI), at Houston, where I remain for three years as Regional Project Controls Manager for their vessel construction projects in the South/Central America and the Caribbean areas.

After the CBI assignment, I was hired by Waller Marine as a Contract Manager for the construction and installation of two power barges with a combined power generation of 370MW, which were installed in Tacoa, Venezuela. Need to point out, although the contracting and exportation process of the power units were achieved in the US with Citgo as Client, the contract for the installation of the barges in Venezuela was made in Spanish and under the Venezuelan Government terms.

After conclusion with the Waller Marine assignment, I was hired by Dynamics International as a Cost Manager for the construction and repair of five offshore platforms in the Angola Republic for a period of four years.

Currently retired, buying and selling options on the stock market.
