Every superhero has a backstory, and mine started one afternoon at my neighborhood bank. I went into the bank to deal with some account-related concerns, and a middle-aged woman helped me. What struck me about her was her calm, professional, yet sympathetic tone, which finally helped her settle my complaint quickly. That day, as I left the bank, I declared to myself that I would work in customer service.
I worked as a customer service representative on my family's livestock farm for the past year, and a typical day consisted of giving clients accurate information about our numerous products and services, managing complaints, responding to inquiries, creating leads for sales, etc. One of the proudest moments in my customer service career was helping a family who was unsure about the type of poultry birds to purchase for their poultry farm. I advised them to get the type of poultry that lays eggs so that they may use the eggs as a source of food and earn some money. After a few months, they contacted me to let me know they had spotted their first egg, and I was over the moon.
I am a team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. With over two years of
experience in a customer service role, I am confident that I can add value to any organization by
building sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive
communication, multitasking, time management, and ensuring that customers receive the best
service possible. I pride myself on optimum professionalism, as well as my upbeat and empathetic
demeanor when engaging with customers. I can be counted on to work both individually and as
part of a team to meet the call-handling quotas and sales targets.
