Robotics and Dynamics Systems Lab (RDSL)
Robotics and Dynamic Systems Lab (RDSL) is a research
lab in NUST-PNEC whose objective is to provide
solutions of engineering problems to civic industrial
setup.
Projects
Designed hardware for RDSL’s first ever product
“METGRAPH” using Eagle.
Implemented Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring
(NILM), concept of filtering aggregate power
signal to individual appliance level in order to
determine power consumed by individual
appliances connected to a common source.
Karachi, Pakistan
Projects
Red Object Detection Algorithm for detecting red
color objects in a live video using webcam.
Implemented Inter-aural Time Difference (ITD),
property of animals for localization of objects
using sound, in robot using a pair of microphone,
MATLAB and ARM Cortex M4 based
microcontroller unit.
Designed and produced Simulink Model of
Traction Control System for single wheel of an
urban vehicle prototype.
Vehicle Dynamics Monitoring Device (VDMD), a
device used to monitor dynamic properties of a
formula electric car such as location, speed and
acceleration.
Implemented Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring
(NILM), concept of filtering aggregate power
signal to individual appliance level in order to
determine power consumed by individual
appliances connected to a common source.
Designed Development board of ARM-CORTEX M4F
based Microcontroller Unit.
Leadership Roles
Electrical Lead
Oct. 2014 – Present
Formula Electric Racing NUST
Formula Electric Racing NUST is formula student team
from Pakistan formed to do research and bring
development in the field of electric cars in Pakistan.
