Adnan Ul Haq Babar

Besides studying Electrical Engineering at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), I have been part of many technical and non-technical projects around the campus.

Most prominent of these roles is position as a Research Assistant at Robotics and Dynamic Systems Lab (RDSL - NUST). I have been part of RDSL for one year where I was responsible for designing systems Hardware and integrating them with their designed software. While being part of RDSL, I designed hardware of their first ever product METGRAPH.

Apart from this I have also worked alongside with RDSL’s documentation department in filing METGRAPH’s cost, design files and instruction manual.

I am also serving as Documentation Lead and Electrical Safety Officer (ESO) for team Formula Electric Racing NUST, a Formula Student Electric team of NUST, where we are responsible for filing out Cost Report, Design Report, Electrical Safety Forms, Failure Mode Effect Analysis sheet etc. of our formula student car. As an ESO, I am responsible for ensuring team members safety while working on vehicle and take measures to employ Organizational Health and Safety Standards (OHSS) within the team.

Besides my role as Documentation Lead I have also carried out few research projects within the team along with my fellow team mates. Prominent of these projects is a Li Ion Battery Management System used to gauge our battery pack parameters as part of our pro-active approach towards vehicle maintenance and design improvements. The system is capable of monitoring individual cells parameters and isolate battery pack from drive train in case of any fatal observation.
