With over 17 years of hands-on experience in translation, localization, and language solutions, I have built a strong reputation as a reliable, detail-oriented, and culturally nuanced linguist specializing in English, Hindi, and Bengali to Assamese translation.

My career began in 2007 as a back translator for market research companies and quickly evolved to include diverse domains such as fintech, mobile UI/UX, e-learning, government communications, advertising, social media, developmental research, and website/app localization. I have worked with renowned organizations such as Nielsen India (as an in-house translator for 7 years), Welocalize (as Language Lead for Meta projects), Lionbridge, and Reverie Language Technologies (as a senior translator). These roles not only strengthened my technical capabilities but also sharpened my skills in glossary creation, LQA, bug reporting, and quality review workflows.

In the fintech space, I have played a key role for over four years in translating and reviewing a wide range of content for PhonePe, ensuring clarity, brand consistency, and user-friendliness across digital platforms. I’ve also translated high-impact marketing and advertising material (Hindi to Assamese) for a Kolkata-based advertising agency, combining linguistic accuracy with emotional and cultural resonance.

What sets me apart is my versatility and command over tools. I have working experience with CAT tools like Trados, Memsource (Phrase), Wordfast, OmegaT, and Prabandhak, as well as transcription tools and DTP software. I have handled projects of over 200K+ words, including major initiatives like Gionee UI, LPG gas company websites, Jio, and government e-learning platforms.

Additionally, my deep interest in language and communication has led me to translate a Bengali book on computer basics by Bappi Ashraf into Assamese and manage language teams as a Division Manager (Assamese) at Productive Playhouse, USA.

Being a native Assamese speaker with fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali, I understand the cultural nuances that make communication effective, relatable, and impactful.
