I am currently working as the head of inside sales for a travel CRM startup Advensure Pvt Ltd. At advensure I juggle a variety of roles including vendor sales, CRM sales, Customer support , Vendor Support and event management.
I believe I have what they call the "hunter's mentality". I am always ready to prepare endlesslessy and wade through a lot of information, contacts and leads in order to put myself in a position to land as many big accounts as possible. That kind of drive along with a discipline to follow up consistently , updating my CRM software regularly and thoroughly tracking the performance of my entire team over a daily basis is what I believe makes me a good sales person.
I am very resilient when it comes to rejections. Rejection is a very real part of selling any product or service especially when focusing on cold leads . In the initial phase of our startup I started cold calling almost a hundred people a day . There were days when all 100 of them were not interested in the services we had to offer . But in the word's of Robert Moore " A great salesperson is never easily discouraged, and doesn't take the rejection on a personal level"
I have really great people skills , I feel really comfortable in inititating conversations with strangers and moulding the conversation into a sales pitch without the other person even realizing it.Before starting to talk I listen to the other person patiently and then I try and come up with a solution to their problems. I always tend to forge new relationships and manage my previous relationships as well so that we can get repititive business from our older clients. In addition to this I have international work experience , where I stayed and worked in the Netherlandds for a year and I interacted with people from over 20 countries on a daily basis.
In conclusion I believe that the trifecta of Intelligence , personality and drive makes me an ideal candidate for the role and this mix of personalities will ensure that I can not only get myself in front of buyers but also close the deal--and ultimately I will be able to create relationships that pay dividends over time.
