I’m Yohanes Alemu, a passionate and experienced UI/UX Designer with a strong foundation in software engineering. With over seven years of hands-on experience, I specialize in creating engaging, intuitive, and functional digital experiences for web, mobile, and desktop applications. My primary goal is to design user interfaces that not only look beautiful but also solve problems and deliver exceptional usability. I believe that good design is at the core of successful digital products, and I focus on creating seamless user experiences that feel natural and easy to use.

My design process begins with a deep understanding of the user’s needs, pain points, and behaviors. I use a combination of research, user personas, and wireframing to lay the groundwork for user-centric solutions. By leveraging tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, and Sketch, I transform concepts into high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes. I am highly skilled in designing layouts and interfaces that are responsive, ensuring that users have a consistent experience across all devices—whether on a mobile phone, tablet, or desktop.

Throughout my career, I have led and collaborated on projects that required a perfect blend of creativity and technical knowledge. As the Head of the Graphics Design Team at Backos Technologies, I managed the design process from conception to delivery, overseeing branding campaigns and marketing materials while providing creative solutions that aligned with client goals. My background in graphic design has given me a unique perspective, allowing me to balance visual aesthetics with functionality in all my work.

In addition to my design expertise, I am comfortable working with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This allows me to effectively communicate with development teams and ensure that the final product aligns with the original design vision. My knowledge of back-end development, particularly in Python and Django, gives me the technical insight needed to design interfaces that seamlessly integrate with the back-end systems they rely on.

I have also had the opportunity to work as a UI/UX Designer and Back-End Developer at Milto Tech, where I designed comprehensive interfaces for web, mobile, and desktop applications. My ability to approach design from both a creative and technical perspective has helped me consistently deliver projects that not only meet but exceed client expectations.
