Spatial analysis on crime rate using ARC GIS
An extensive research-based project that required us to
utilize ARC GIS to show impact of income and police stations
on crime rate. What I learned from this project is how to
shows graphically on ARC GIS the co-relation between two
variables and their impact in any region
Cost-Benefit Analysis of a CPEC based Wind Energy
Project
Gathered the relevant data of different components of costs
associated with project from NAPRA’s website and calculate the
levelized tariff, the rate at which GoP buys each unit of
electricity from a foreign company
Calculated the annual revenue earned by GoP through the
project’s annual electricity generation and by using Pakistan’s
sector-wise data
Assessed the project’s indirect positive impact on Pakistan’s
economy using data on Pakistan’s GDP and the number of
Megawatts the project will be adding to the national grid
Recommended approval for the project using a cost-benefit
analysis method
Property tax valuation of Punjab
Evaluated that to what extent do property taxes
contribute to the economy of Punjab and what steps can
be taken to increase them.
Using tax calculator, we as a team determined that if
each household in Pakistan pays a property tax than the
tax revenue generated would equal 132 billion. Now if
30% of the overall households pays these taxes, it will
generate a tax revenue of 40 billion.
Concluded that Punjab’s ratio of property tax to GDP will
increase from 0.03% to 0.09% which is a tremendous
increase of 200% in property tax revenue
