Werner Strydom

My name is Werner Nell Strydom. I am registered as a geologist with the South African Council of Natural Scientific Professions.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Structural Geology and also have seven years of experience as a geologist in the gold mining and exploration industries. 

I have sound experience in the collection, analysis and interpretation of geological data.

I also generated surface maps and a large amount of geological reports based on information gathered from regular field excursions and visits to underground working areas. 

My duties as an exploration and production geologist included safety and environmental inspections at surface and underground drill rig sites.

I believe that my past industry experience and recently acquired certification in project management, would greatly assist me in keeping projects within stipulated budgets and time scales.   

I am passionate about people and regularly educate them about the geology of South Africa, through public talks and freelance writing to local newspapers.

I recently received my TEFL certification and have been teaching English to foreign language students since December, 2017. The experience has been extremely rewarding so far.

My hobbies include weightlifting, hiking, power walking and writing.
