 Cover Letter My name is Wendy, and I have over 6 years of experience in teaching preschool, young learners and elementary aged students aged 3-13. My qualifications include a TESOL certificate, and a degree in English literature and writing from the University of Toronto, one of the top schools in Canada. I’ve been teaching for over 6 years and I’ve discovered that my strength lies in how creative I am and good at quick thinking. I’ve worked with classrooms of all sizes and one-on-one tutoring, and taught from ages 2-18. One of my favorite classroom ideas is to take a current vocabulary or topic we are learning and turn it into an artwork, a project or a game that we can play in the classroom. This way, the students learn vocabulary and have fun while they’re doing it! With the older students, I’ve done a lot of creative writing and try to think of current, interesting topics for them to debate about. If you guide students with lots of examples and a step-by-step process on how to do things, you’d be surprised at how much they’re actually capable of and that is what I love about teaching so much.
