Wayne Peters McKinney

My name is Wayne McKinney, and I am applying for the remote job of Help Desk Support. If you will give me a moment of your time so that we may talk, I'm certain you'll see what a wonderful difference I can make for your company.

To start off, let me say that when you meet me on the phone (or via webcam), you'll see what great talent, compassion, and drive I have. These are skill they don't teach you in college - they are learned "on-the-job" in day-to-day work. As you can see from my resume, I have done quite a lot of work!

I want to emphasize that, first and foremost, that I consider myself a Help Desk/IT Support person - not an Oracle Developer/Analyst anymore. On the other hand, being an Oracle Developer/Analyst for as long as I was helped me develop the skills that I need to be a Virtual Help Desk support person. I learned while doing my Oracle jobs, how to interview people, how to calm them down and find out what the real problem is, the ability to see from all sides how a programmatic problem affects the work flow on all sides, and, most of all, how it prevents people from completing their job, which I find that most people want to do.

I started doing Help Desk work in 2015, and I've never looked back. I enjoy helping people, and I enjoy documenting all of the problems they run into because it helps me to understand your systems better. It helps me to get my job done quickly and to help people get past their problems. To me, helping others succeed is my definition of success.
