In this position I worked on an in house 3D/2D hybrid real time graphics engine. I used C++ with embedded Lua for real time scripting and
OpenGL to communicate with the GPU. The engine could be deployed
as a static library and included such things as buildtype specific logging,
event systems, view projection transformation matrix logic, ECS, shader/texture 2020
logic, a material system, etc.. As I had already built my own graphics card
from scratch in Verilog at university, I had a good grasp on the graphics

pipeline to start with. Some of the shader and library specific concepts
were new to me, but I was able to quickly study and adept.

I held this position concurrently with my studies. It involved working on large scope web-based projects. One project I worked on during
this period was an education platform spanning multiple submodule
websites with different functionalities. I worked on multiple modules
handling their communication. I was also in charge of one such website which trained and tracked the user’s memory retention using the
Ebbinghaus model. The system I created was capable of determining
how good the user’s memorization skills were and used that information to adapt his personal training schedule.
