Project Overview:
This project involved drafting a strategic, evidence-backed legal demand letter for a client whose Romanian visa application was denied due
to a suspected forged work permit submitted by a service provider. The letter sought the full refund of $3,500.00 paid under an
International Travel Agreement and was crafted to serve both as a negotiation tool and as a legal foundation for possible escalation to law
enforcement, immigration authorities, and consumer protection bodies.
The aim was to combine persuasive legal writing with precise contract analysis, ensuring the demand was enforceable and compelling.
Role & Key Contributions:
Case Review & Evidence Analysis: Examined the signed International Travel Agreement, Romanian Embassy refusal form, client–agent
correspondence, and all supporting documentation.
Contractual Interpretation: Identified breaches in delivery timelines, obligations to provide accurate updates, and evaluated the refund
clause to justify a full refund based on fraudulent documentation.
Legal Research: Cited relevant Romanian immigration laws, including:
Article 44(2)(a) – Refusal for forged/false documentation
Article 29(1)(b) – Refusal based on doubts over document authenticity and reliability
Letter Drafting: Structured the letter to include:
A clear statement of dissatisfaction
Chronological case facts supported by evidence
Embassy findings and legal grounds for refusal
A firm refund demand with a 72-hour deadline
Notice of intended escalation if unresolved
Tone & Strategy: Balanced a firm, professional, and factual tone to maintain credibility while applying pressure for swift compliance.
