Blueprint Newspapers Hosts Strategic Breakfast Meeting with Media and Procurement Leaders-OGFZA Among Key Attendees
ABUJA, Nigeria – June 26, 2025
Blueprint Newspapers Limited, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing news media organisations, held its Annual Corporate Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the UBEC Training Centre in Kado, Abuja. The high-level gathering brought together heads of media, procurement officers, and representatives from major organisations, including the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), to foster dialogue on strategic collaboration in today’s evolving media landscape.
The breakfast meeting, which has become a signature event on Blueprint’s corporate calendar, provided a platform for meaningful engagement between the newspaper’s management and its institutional stakeholders. This year’s theme, “Driving Growth Together,” underscored the company’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and offering innovative solutions that meet the communication and publicity needs of corporate organisations.
Delivering the welcome address, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Blueprint Newspapers, Malam Salisu Umar, expressed appreciation to all attendees for making time to attend despite their busy schedules. He noted that the presence of key decision-makers, such as those from OGFZA and other institutions, reflected the strong and trusted relationships built over the years.
“This annual breakfast is more than just a tradition,” Umar said. “It is a valuable opportunity to deepen our connections, understand your evolving needs, and explore strategies that align with your marketing and procurement objectives.”
Malam Umar highlighted Blueprint’s commitment to both print and digital excellence. He stated that to improve visibility and ensure timely circulation, the newspaper now produces editions simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja. He also drew attention to the platform’s robust online presence, including interactive content and video news features that have significantly boosted traffic across its digital and social media platforms.
While celebrating these achievements, the MD did not shy away from addressing challenges, particularly in the area of business generation. “No newspaper can thrive without a solid business foundation,” he remarked, adding that the meeting offered an opportunity to engage directly with key decision-makers responsible for advertising placements.
“We are particularly excited to discuss how Blueprint Newspapers can better serve your advertising needs,” he noted. “From print to digital, our solutions are designed to amplify your message and deliver measurable results.”
Malam Umar appealed for sustained support from attendees in promoting the Blueprint brand within their respective organisations and in making favourable recommendations to their chief executives.
The event featured an interactive session, networking opportunities, and a shared breakfast in a relaxed, professional atmosphere. Notably, the presence of representatives from the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) was widely acknowledged, demonstrating the interest of major regulatory and investment bodies in Blueprint’s growing influence within Nigeria’s media ecosystem.
The invitation extended prior to the event had called on media and procurement leaders to engage directly with Blueprint’s management and senior editorial staff. That call was clearly heeded, with robust participation and constructive dialogue marking the day’s proceedings.
Malam Umar concluded by thanking all attendees for their time and contributions, wishing them safe journeys back to their respective destinations.
