Victor Ruiz Jimenez

My name is Victor, I am finishing university studies in Audiovisual Systems Engineering at UPF in Barcelona. I have been a freelance Sound Designer for approximately two years, contributing my sounds in more than 30 projects, most of them remotely. Since I was 14 years old I have been in the world of DAWs and Plugins, producing and composing music. Since then, I have done both the audio recording and the musical supervision and audio post production of many works.You can access more information about me through my personal website (currently only available in spanish)

I work with Ableton Live, although I am proficient in other DAWs such as Logic or FL Studio, and with a large bank of VST Plugins, which I use daily for my sound creations, such as Serum by Xfer. I usually create them from scratch, although I have an extensive library of samples that I usually use for, through layering and other techniques, the same objective.

I have also collaborated in the game industry with the students of the Master in Video Game Creation: Design, Creation and Programming at UPF. I have notions of various audio engines such as FMOD and WWISE, although in this case I was specifically with the creation of the sound, not the incorporation of sound in the audio engines.

I am currently developing Audio Plug-Ins in different programming languages for my Degree’s Final Project.
