(Nov 2014 to Jan 2017) WTG Engineer service (Karnataka Region - India) Roles & Responsibilities • Maintenance & trouble shooting of 1650KW turbines for IPP customer ACCIONA which includes operation and use of working with hydraulics (Active-Stall pitch system), electrical, mechanical and other turbine equipment. • To ensure machine availability during high wind season by doing / following a qualitative scheduled service as per service checklist. • Ensure the repetitive warning / alarms to be measured in accountable given WTG to take preventive action along with other planned or unplanned activities based on the priority. • Oil sample reports to be monitored & gear box inspections performed as per the service protocol. • Installation of Vertex Generator (VG) in LM blades was done with help of blade specialists. • Condition monitoring on Vestas online business (VOB) to check the healthiness of the turbine regularly. Action to be taken in the defect identified WTG. • VTM/WARNING/CIM to be qualitatively attended on time as per the protocol defined in the system. • Installation & Trouble Shooting of Active and passive sensors like Proximity Sensors, Anemometer,Windvane,PT100 etc. used for measuring controller parameters. • SCADA (Supervision control and data acquisition) connectivity issues with WTG are solved in site level with expert' s guidance. • Near miss, hazardous observations & incidents are collected from individuals and reported to case handler in incident management system. Then corrective action and 5-Y analysis are done for the same. • Tracking the tool calibration dues in site and sending for calibration to vendor & Report to next level for the tools/resource requirement. • Bundling of task for low wind & Proactive planning of breakdown materials / maintenance materials to avoid restoration delay of the WTG and qualitative maintenance based on the VIS/VTM/CIM/Open Service orders • Support to the BOP team during high wind season to minimize the down time of the WTG • Preparing Component Failure Reports, Root Cause Analysis for the same and involved with the team for product analysis to implement CAPA to minimize product failures.
