Valerie Tsitsi Zano

I possess years post qualification experience in the area(s) of community engagement, market research and documentation. I have gained this experience in civil society where I have worked as a Communications Officer. In this role I was responsible for research for content management, implementing the communication strategy and documentation as well as public relations. My experience in this role afforded me the opportunity to contribute to various media campaigns. Through communication for development strategies, I have contributed to increased awareness and behavior change in communities. 

In my previous roles, I was tasked with managing the integrated communications and documentation strategy for the organization. I achieved significant milestones including putting issues of environmental law high on the agenda of the organization’s advocacy strategy. I also supported with management of both internal and external communication and contributed to focused communication strategies for key stakeholders, cooperating partners and communities.  

With a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication Honors degree and a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication, I believe I have the necessary technical experience and functional competencies to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the advertised position. 

I also possess excellent interpersonal skills, embrace diversity and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment enables me to work with a diverse group of people. I am willing and able to interact with people of all backgrounds in both urban and rural areas multi-cultural set up.
