Valentin Sanjuan

I am a Software Engineer from Mendoza, Argentina, with more than 6 years of experience with languages like Ruby and Python, and different tools like MySQL, Redis and Kafka. I have worked for medium-to-big sized companies like MercadoLibre (in its payments API) and Eventbrite (in its pricing API), both critical parts of its infrastructure. As a backend developer, i have been involved in developing complex features across different services, bugfixing, release and service monitoring, optimizing performance bottlenecks and leading and managing projects assignments and deadlines. As one of the most experienced developers of my current team at Eventbrite, i have been also involved in mentoring and onboarding both new members of the team and the company.

I am passionate about programming and i am willing to learn when it is needed, and my current interests are performance, databases, programming languages, TDD, object oriented design and functional programming and distributed systems, but i would also eager to learn or update my frontend skills.
