I'm Urmi Chowdhury, an MBA graduate in Finance from the University of Chittagong, whose journey through the program proved transformative - intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. It enabled me to connect across diverse backgrounds and communicate with clarity and depth, going beyond rote learning to become a well-rounded individual.
Although I was born in Bangladesh, my educational path led me to St. Xavier’s School in India, where I first discovered my love for English. It was there - at just nine years old - that I delivered my first speech before a large audience, an experience that ignited my passion for public speaking. Throughout my academic and early professional life, my presentation skills garnered praise from both teachers and colleagues.
During my MBA, I took the IELTS, earning impressive scores of 7.5 in Speaking and 7 in Writing - affirming my strong command of the language. Balancing work and study, I realized that I thrive in collaborative environments and am often selected to lead group projects and presentations, where I guide teams toward shared success.
Creativity is another aspect of who I am. Under the mentorship of an inspiring Mentor, I explored graphic design, consistently striving to create original and distinctive work in each project.
Currently, I serve as a Trade Finance Consultant at Euro Exim Bank, where I support global trade initiatives. This role brings together analytical thinking, effective communication, leadership, and creative insight. I tackle every task with unwavering dedication and a continual hunger to learn and grow.
