About

With over a decade of progressive experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and agricultural resilience, I bring a robust blend of technical expertise and strategic program management to any organization. Currently serving as a Climate Change Specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, I provide comprehensive technical guidance on Climate Smart Agriculture, climate financing, and investment planning. My role involves conducting climate risk screenings using advanced tools such as the Climate Risk Tool Box, and leading drought and flood mapping through spatiotemporal analysis of precipitation, temperature, and satellite imagery (Landsat, Sentinel-2) on platforms like QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and Python. I collaborate closely with national hydro-meteorological agencies to develop early warning bulletins and proactive preparedness plans that save lives and livelihoods.

Prior to this, as Resilience Research Manager at the International Rescue Committee, I managed Google-funded resilience projects, overseeing risk assessments, trigger systems, and stakeholder engagements across West Africa. I evaluated hydrological forecasts, analyzed trends, and integrated national datasets with forecasting tools to strengthen anticipatory action frameworks. My earlier roles include serving as Agricultural Specialist at Mercy Corps, where I coordinated the Feed the Future Nigeria Rural Resilience Activity, and as Programme Development Specialist at Stakeholder Democracy Network, where I led livelihood assessments and developed successful funding proposals.

My technical skills span QGIS, Google Colab, Python, R Statistics, and SPSS, with specialized expertise in flood monitoring, time series analysis, and change detection. I hold two Master’s degrees—in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security from the National University of Ireland (with Distinction), and in Natural Resources & Environmental Management from the University of Port Harcourt—and am currently pursuing a PhD in Natural Resource Management and Climate Change. Certified in multi-hazard early warning systems and risk-informed governance by UNDRR, I am passionate about applying science-driven, data-informed solutions to build climate-resilient communities. I am eager to bring this multidisciplinary experience to Hubstaff, delivering measurable impact through innovation and collaboration.
