The potential benefits are obvious: -the voting will be easier and more accessible (it will increase the number of voters) -cheaper. But all benefits are turned down because of the fears. The major fears are: -hacking attacks -The vulnerability of the system (because it is centralized) and if there is a breach of data/information, millions will be affected. The blockchain technology can change this. The blockchain protocol is a means of logging and verifying records that is transparent and distributed among users. Usually, votes are recorded, managed, counted and checked by a central authority.
