With over ten years in the Customer Service industry, I have gained knowledge and experience on handling customers. Every customer is different and emotional intelligence is needed in handling them to meet their specific needs.

I once worked with a tourism company in the Customer Service department and part of my tasks was to attend to customers via our LiveChat on the website. I handled their orders and sent it to the right department for processing, dealt with customers who had booked tours and didn't find it to their satisfaction, escalating the issues to the appropriate tour company where necessary.

I currently in recent years have been running my own business and customer service is one of the topmost reasons why customers keep coming back. I ensure that they have all the information they need on every product prior to purchase and ensure they are aware on any event that should take place before delivery.

Difficult customers are not an issue for me. I have had this in the course of being in this industry. A customer once got really upset because her items did not get to her in the time we had promised to deliver and had upset her events scheduled.

I listened to her complaint and apologised. I reached out to our delivery partners and discussed how we could get it to her without her having to wait for it, at no extra cost. She was pleased that she didn't have to wait and pay any extra fees.

I'm great at working within a team and a great team player but also working without constant supervision has taught be how to prioritise my work and work in a timely manner. I have my deliverables on time and to the specifications required.
