St. Luke's Health System, Business Analyst II , Boise, ID, 12/05-06/10
*Worked closely with physicians and clinical office staff to develop efficient workflows
using various healthcare applications. *Served as a content and application expert on
the St. Luke's Health System Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Governance Committee
and the St. Luke's EMR Compliance Department for Boise, Meridian and Wood River.
Ensured EMR documentation and functionality met compliance with Health System and
government standards. *Served as a content and application expert for the LEAN
workflow redesign training with Qualis Health. *Worked with new St. Luke's clinics
and physicians converting from paper charts to electronic medical records. Documented
the needs and goals of clinics to devise a specific curriculum and training
documentation. Customized EMR for clinics and physicians based on their
documentation and process needs. Reviewed significant workflow changes to assess the
impact on those affected. *Trained physicians and nurses in EMR to document details
of patient visits. *Provided phone, email and onsite technical support and
troubleshooting for St. Luke's clinics and partnering physicians.
I was asked to participate in two training courses taught by Qualis Health, with
physicians and their staff. We were taught the LEAN process to increase each clinic's
effectiveness in using the electronic medical record and minimize waste, effort and
money. I was the business analyst that documented the process and gave suggestions
about how the application could and could not be used to help them in their effort. I
built and ran the reports to measure their effectiveness each month and was able to
illustrate each physician's success and ultimately the clinic's success.

*Created and maintained secure Dashboard accounts using multiple applications with
St. Luke's Health System for physicians and medical office staff in the community.
*Scheduled and provided training in various healthcare applications to physicians and
medical office staff. *Provided phone and on-site technical support and training for St.
Luke's applications. *Collected and maintained clinic and physician demographic
information for use in reports and developing relevant statistics. *Participated in the
strategic development of St. Luke's Dashboard. *Performed testing for application
upgrades and provided documentation to the supporting teams and software developers
*Created instructional documentation and training materials for various healthcare
applications and the job duties pertaining to the Business Analyst position.
My personal effort to get as many physicians in the community setup with the St. Luke's
Dashboard gave them access to hospital data and systems. Physicians were able to
instantly get critical patient data from the hospital. They were also able to sign reports
that would normally need to be done in person on site at each hospital location that
could now be done from their office or home.

*Tested medical equipment for St. Luke's Health System using a diagnostic software
program. *Compiled and logged data for Alaris Medical Equipment Supplier.
From a team of approximately 8 testers I was brought back for a second testing session
with only one other person to test the additional units ordered by the hospital because of
the numbers of units per hour I was able to complete.

Beyond my normal job duties as a technical supervisor I volunteered to absorb the
