About
A consummate professional, I bring to the table extensive experience in all facets of human resources/people, talent acquisition,
management (team and executive), employee immigration, operations, finance, and cross-functional collaboration. A utility player, I
am able to step in to build out people functions/organizations, and identify and fill gaps. A subject matter expert in HR and TA, I form
strong relationships with hiring managers and department heads as a partner to develop, streamline, and evolve processes. With
more than 20 years in the technology industry, I have witnessed the evolution of the high-tech workplace and played a key role in
building corporate cultures that foster ingenuity, independent thinking within a team environment, and a sense that each employee
plays an active role in creating something truly great. I value companies that understand the importance of social responsibility and
encourage activism and community involvement. I seek out companies to work with that I can believe in – in the products or services
they offer, their vision, their culture, their values, and their overall business approach.
In mid-2015, I left my job of more than 11 years with a Los Angeles-based technology company. I was in full campaign mode, running
for the office of Mayor of Hudson, New York. At the same time, I created an LLC and started providing Senior Talent Acquisition,
Human Resources, and Business Operations Services to technology companies on a contract basis. I took office as Mayor in 2016
and ran the city for two years on a full-time basis. Throughout my term, I continued to provide services to clients remotely on a
part-time, contract basis. It’s a strange combination of roles, yet the skills I relied on to be successful at both are in many ways
complementary. During that time, I partnered closely with my clients’ executive teams and hiring managers to ensure that they
achieved their goals – whether that be to build a technical team, develop strong policies, or work through the process of identifying and
building a corporate culture reflective of the shared values of all stakeholders.
