I have years of experience in the fields of education and television news. In addition I
have extensive training in public speaking, conflict resolution and marketing. I'm an
aspiring web developer. I write JavaScript code literally every day. I speak Chinese
fluently and I'm learning Japanese.
Work Experience

February 2016 – Present
Full-time position (Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm)
ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) at a public Junior high School. I make lesson plans,
schedule classes and teach English.
~ Guang Zhou, China ~
ESL Teacher, Web International English — 2013 - 2016
Full-time position (5 classes/day; 5 days/week) Teaching English classes to
students of all levels, planning and participating in student activities. Written and
oral evaluation of students and fellow teachers.
Corporate Trainer, New World Edu. —-
Teaching middle and upper management at multiple international companies
business English to facilitate their communication with their counterparts outside
of China. Clients included: P&G, Cannon, Nissan, and Denso. I also functioned as part of
a sales team that did demonstration classes and sold classes to the HR departments of our
clients.
ESL Teacher, Randolph Language Center —-
Teaching groups of 30 to 40 students at a time in a large classroom setting.
Classes were focused on dialogue repetition and development of speaking and
listening skills.
Elementary, Middle, and High School English Teacher —-
Sent to teach weekly classes at dozens of schools throughout Guang Zhou.
Class content was usually loosely connected to their school textbook lessons
main points.

During high school and immediately after graduating I worked for two TV news
stations. (First for WOI-TV 5, owned by capital communications; then for WHOTV
13, owned by the New York Times). Responsibilities included: writing scripts
for newscasts, editing video (avid), interviewing and reporting, producing and
directing newscasts.

Full Stack Web Development Certification (est. completion by December 2017)
I am currently almost two thirds of the way through this course that involves in-depth,
practical and hands on programming. Right now, I'm building web apps using React.

Front End Development Program (FREE CODE CAMP)
Coursework consisted of building projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. All projects,
algorithm scripting work and online Web Apps and proof of completion can be seen at

2010 Ministerial Training School; Manila, Philippines
Intensive study of topics including theology, history, public speaking,
conflict resolution, personal development, relationship counseling, etc.
2006 T.E.S.O.L. certification; Canadian Institute of English, Toronto
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) course that
was centered on teaching English in creative inspiring and effective ways.
The course was spread evenly between classroom management,
teaching methods and designing activities to enhance traditional learning
techniques.
