This way, the towel will absorb the stain and the rug should not be damaged. If you use a stain remover, verify the compatibility of the product with the rug by applying it on an concealed part. Apply the product using a cleaning cloth and dab. Using a clean white cloth, pat it dry without rubbing to avoid any risk of discolouration from the towel to the rug. For stains of a solid origin, use a spoon or rounded-end object to remove as much of the stain as possible without damaging your rug.
