Wool Quality Rug Maintenance Instructions
Daily maintenance
In order to preserve its original look for as long as possible, your rug or carpet
should be well maintained! Make sure to place a doormat at the entrance of the
house.
To maintain your rug made of natural or synthetic fibres on a daily basis, it is
essential to use a vacuum cleaner. Vacuum regularly, at least one to two times a
week, using an in-depth suction, particularly in corners of well-trodden areas.
Parts of the floor where furniture legs is situation should be cleaned with much
more caution, due to the accumulation of dust.
We advise you to use a powerful vacuum to maintain your floor covering on a
daily basis. Vacuum cleaners with a brush or comb risk damaging the carpet’s
hair.
During the first few months after installation, the rug loses excess material in the
form of fluff, so we recommend that you use a hard brush whilst vacuuming.
Wool Carpet and Rug
To preserve the fibres cut within the carpet, use a vacuum cleaner with a suction
nozzle. The brush should be used in during the first moments of the process. Or
alternatively use a mechanical sweeper, which is also an adequate tool for daily
maintenance.
Long Wicks Rug
Use a vacuum cleaner with a suction nozzle, with the brush brought in to avoid
wrapping the wicks around the rotary brush and beater bars.
Periodic or Annual Maintenance
Caution
The quality of the detergent product is a big determining factor on
the cleanliness of the carpet.
Do not wet the rug- there is a risk of reducing it.
Respect the drying time (from 24 to 48 hours).

Using steam, shampoo or any other method to clean up involving water
saturation is strongly inadvisable.
It is preferable to clean using a spray- extraction machine. This method is
particularly useful for restoring the original look of the rug without wetting it too
much. A wet rug risks exposing it to moisture and sagging. During the sprayextraction process, the fibres are treated with water combined with a cleaning
product. The excess dirty water is then sucked out. Here the advice remains to
treat it again with clean water in order to eliminate any residues of the product.
You can rent an adequate machine in specialised shops or you can ask for a
professional to proceed with the cleaning. However, ensure that your rug has
dried well before walking over it.
For natural fibre rugs, the best cleaning system remains to be dry extraction.
Such a method uses an absorbing powder, impregnated with a maintenance
product, to dissolve and absorb any stains and soiling.
In the case of presence of stains, if the stain is of liquid origin, react quickly to
minimise the amount of spillage by using a white terry towel. Always wipe from
the side towards the centre, in order to avoid spreading the stain. Or use a wet
towel and allow to it dry. This way, the towel will absorb the stain and the rug
should not be damaged.
If you use a stain remover, verify the compatibility of the product with the rug by
applying it on an concealed part. Apply the product using a cleaning cloth and
dab. Using a clean white cloth, pat it dry without rubbing to avoid any risk of
discolouration from the towel to the rug.
For stains of a solid origin, use a spoon or rounded-end object to remove as much
of the stain as possible without damaging your rug.
If, despite all the mentioned advice, the stains are still present, do not hesitate to
call a professional cleaner.
Good maintenance will ensure a longer lifespan, perfect hygiene and a much
better aesthetic of your product.
We shall not be responsible for the level of maintenance and cleaning of your
floor covering.

cepillos batidores giratorios.
