Tharindu Madhusankha Weerasighe

I am Tharindu Madhusankha Weerasighe, a passionate and detail-oriented Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience in full-stack web development, specializing in Magento 2 and WordPress. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology with a specialization in Software Engineering from SLIIT and have worked on a diverse range of eCommerce projects for both Sri Lankan and international clients.

My expertise lies in developing scalable and responsive web applications using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, and modern frameworks and tools. I have a strong foundation in Magento 2, including theme customization, extension integration, and performance optimization. I have also developed several custom WordPress websites using WooCommerce, where I created and modified themes and plugins to suit client needs. My ability to convert PSDs into pixel-perfect front-end implementations ensures every project I work on meets high design and usability standards.

Throughout my career, I’ve contributed to key projects such as BuyAbans.com, Bonz.com, Kiddoz.lk, J20sports.com, and others — taking part in both front-end and back-end development. My responsibilities have included coding, testing, bug fixing, deploying new features, and integrating third-party APIs and ERP systems.

I am proficient in working in a LAMP environment and have experience using tools such as Git, PhpStorm, MySQL Workbench, and Jira. I’m a strong believer in clean, modular code and maintainability. I thrive in Agile teams, collaborating effectively with designers, project managers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality products on schedule.

I am highly organized, self-motivated, and quick to adapt to new technologies. I take pride in my attention to detail and my ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality. My goal is always to deliver solutions that are not only functional but also user-friendly and aligned with business goals.
