Over the last eight years I have worked as a secondary science teacher, filling my toolkit to the brim with both soft and hard skills. I have worked on the development of a multitude of curriculum projects both independently and cross-functionally and am very familiar with design thinking and instructional design models to organize project scope. One of my favorite courses was a robotics curriculum I created to meet school technology goals. I worked with outside subject matter experts to learn the robotics content and map out learning segments. The end result was a learner paced program that saw a 95% success rate in learners.
I have knowledge of various elearning authoring tools (camtasia, articulate, microsoft office, google suite) having been self-taught on most of these programs. As a teacher I am consistently creating both digital and physical methods of delivery to lessons, deliverables, and lectures. So I am used to working in a face-paced, high volume work place, wearing multiple hats.
If I were to describe myself in three words I would say, communicator, passionate, and self-motivated.
