I've been a graphic designer for over 30 years. Whether part of a design team or lead creative, I have worked with many trusted brands. My client engagements have varied from local, national and international firms allowing me to demonstrate scale is relative but creativity has no bounds. Sector experience includes software, retail, financial, industrial, manufacturing, natural health, restaurant, and entertainment sectors, providing the ideal creative with a view to meeting business needs. My expertise positions me best towards developing brand-identity strategies that always support the unique needs of any business. Most importantly, I provide deep insight into best practices for building brand trust.
My job history:
I worked my way up from Designer to Senior Art Director in Vancouver, BC. Designing and illustrating campaigns for sporting and entertainment events like the BC Lacrosse, the BC Summer Games and the Abbotsford International Airshow were major highlights.
As Creative Services Manager for WN Pharmaceuticals, I was design lead and team manager for Webber Naturals, Sunkist Vitamins, PGX, and Holista Health product lines. As part of the new product development team, I had the responsibilities of product naming and copy-writing, plus development of sales and marketing collateral for new product launches. I used my abilities as an Information Designer to develop a FileMaker solution that manages product development, lifecycle, information, sales, marketing and media assets.
Next, I joined a software development company as lead UX Designer and team manager for a GIS enterprise platform. This was multi-faceted role for a small software development company. It was as complete a UX role as I could hope to find. My daily responsibilities involved me working on every element of UX: Strategy, Scope, Skeleton, Structure, and Surface. Effectively, I worked on everything from supporting business objectives by adapting functional specs into solid interaction design and information architecture, to interface, navigation and information design. And of course, the visual design of platform.
